The Friends of MRA is a nonprofit organization to promote the maintenance, improvement, utilization, and the deep appreciation of the Mechanicsville Recreation Association. The Association has been apart of the Mechanicsville, Virginia community since 1959 and with your support, it will continue to be a a staple of our special community for unlimited generations to come.

The Friends of MRA want to ensure that children of Mechanicsville have a place to come for exercise through swimming and furthermore be able to be a part of an organized sport team, The Mechanicsville Marlins Swim Team.

To make this happen, The Friends of MRA need your support. Those financial contributions and sponsorships will allow us to provide monetary relief to families that are in need of financial support for the opportunity for recreational exercise and the skills obtained from organized sports. The donations will also help ensure the facilities are safe, properly maintained, and have the proper equipment needed for recreational swimming and swim team activities.
